On the 16th of August 2019, Bontle Modiselle made her pregnancy public on Instagram. From then on South Africa was able to witness Priddy Ugly and Bontle Modiselle’s love on a whole other level. From being blessed with a baby, new music, a wedding and being showered with lots of love.

Priddy Ugly and Bontle Modiselle have been together for ten years (2009 – 2019). They have reached such a beautiful milestone in their relationship, that came along with blessings upon blessings. They are a living testimony that ‘Everything Godly Yearns Patience & Time’. Although they were in a relationship for ten years, they did not rush into marriage or having a baby, but waited for God’s perfect timing. South Africa has got to experience their love for so many years, and their pregnancy was just a cherry on top.

At the beginning of the year Priddy Ugly and Bontle Modiselle decided to come together as a couple to create music together. They call themselves Rick Jade, which is derived from Priddy Ugly’s real name ‘Ricardo’ and Bontle Modiselle’s second name ‘Jade-Lee’. They blessed South Africa’s ears with their first single ‘Sumtin New’. Bontle has been doing backing vocals for Priddy for the longest time, and it was finally official. “The music video to our first single together, collectively as @globalrickjade, was when our baby was conceived”, said Bontle Modiselle on Instagram. The song ‘Sumtin New’ to the couple was a symbol of a new beginning in the couple’s relationship for reaching a milestone of ten years in their relationship.

Priddy Ugly and Bontle Modiselle were able to keep their pregnancy a secret for several months as South Africa was astonished by the announcement of their pregnancy on the 16th of August 2019. When they announced their pregnancy, it looked like Bontle was already several months into the pregnancy. The couple announced their pregnancy accompanied by a beautiful song called ‘Bonita’, dedicated to the beautiful blessing that is about to grace the world (their unborn baby).

As if Priddy Ugly and Bontle Modiselle surprised us enough with their baby announcement, the two got married on the 28th of September 2019. They got married in their beautiful traditional attires. The two are beautiful example that you can choose what to display to the public and what not to display to the public. The two may be public figures but they definitely know how not to get swallowed into the public sphere. They keep their relationship private and do not let the public have too much opinion on their relationship.

It has been a year of blessings upon blessings for the beautiful Bontle Modiselle. Her husband, Priddy Ugly and her two sisters collaborated to first surprise her with a bridal shower and a baby shower. Bontle thought her baby shower was on the 12th of October 2019, but no Priddy and her sisters decided to surprise her a week earlier than planned (5 October 2019). Their baby shower was themed as ‘A Priddy baby for Bontle’. Bontle also celebrated her first birthday as a mother-to-be and a wife on the 7th of October 2019. Her birthday was accompanied with a beautiful message from her husband, Priddy Ugly, declaring his love for her and how he wants their relationship to be forever.

Their love is such a beautiful thing, that gives hope to the hopeless when it comes to love. Their love is a living testimony that true love does exist. South Africa can’t wait to meet the beautiful baby they about to bring to the world.
