If you’re located in South Africa, Montecasino is most probably not a foreign word/place to you – whether you’ve went there or not. Montecasino is a leisure and casino complex located in Fourways, South Africa, replicating an ancient Tuscan Village. It offers a variety of activities/entertainment and luxurious hotels – from an international theatre, movies, world-class dining, hotels, and ultimately a casino (to name a few).

An unforgettable experience?

So far I’ve personally went there twice, – the first time was with my cousins, and the second time with my friends. I found the place really stunning when I went there for the first time, in terms of the design, the aesthetics, etc. I really loved everything about it, especially because the first time I went there was during the Christmas season. Everything screamed “let’s get festive!”.

Besides the design of the place, I loved their variety in restaurants, their restaurants include Fireroom, Kream, Casa Bella, Nando’s and Billy G, to name a few. When I went there for the first time, me and my cousins decided that Billy G was the perfect spot. We had the opportunity to eat as much as we wanted to at a fixed price, because Billy G is a buffet spot – all we had to do was buy our drinks separately. If I had to rate Billy G – I would give it a good 4-star rating, only because I didn’t like any of the desserts.

FUN was had!

Montecasino offers a range of activities and entertainment – from bowling, laser tag (Lazer Zone), movies and arcade games. I got to do bowling and laser tag for both of the times I went there. Trust me when I say ‘Fun was had!’ – I enjoyed bowling with my family and friends, besides the whole running that went down when playing laser tag, it was amazing.

Is Montecasino a Yay or a Nay?

A definite Yay! I would recommend going to Montecasino, it is a very beautiful place that makes you feel like you’re in a different place, especially because of the design and atmosphere of the place. The place is a balance of almost everything, it pretty much caters for any kind of occasion. Whether you want to celebrate a birthday, go out with your friends, family or even your partner, Montecasino is the place! I would rate it a 4 out of 5. Why a 4? I’m giving them a 4, because of their lack of variety in retail or clothing shops, but I guess Montecasino is about activities and experience, more than about shopping for clothes, groceries, or something like that – after all, it’s a not a mall.
